Maxwell has struggled mightily, but FSU has definitely helped keep themselves off the board. A pop-up bunt/double play certainly helped that frame!

Not sure how Maxwell managed to escape that jam, but it's still 5-2 OU going to the bottom of the 4th.

A Brito Bomb, (a laser shot actually) opens a 3-run 3rd for OU. 5-2 Sooners going to the 4th.

Maxwell remains off. FSU plates 2 to tie it up. 2-2 going to the bottom of 3.

Torres doubles to RC field wall and drives home Boone from first. 2-0 Sooners. After Sanders and Coleman scorched 2 balls that turned into outs, Tiare walked before Parker flew to center to end the inning. 2-0 OU going to the third.

Not a good start by Maxwell. Very wild. Yet with all that traffic, FSU didn't score. Then 4 pitches later, Tiare goes yard and OU leads 1-0. That has to be demoralizing! 1-0 OU headed to the bottom of the second.

Everything has moved north of Norman. The sun is even out here. Unless something fills in behind they should be good to go tonight.

I (think) I understand what PG was doing (I'm not a mind reader) and to be honest, I didn't have a problem with it at all. As has been discussed here, they need to decide who can be trusted to do what in the big tight games. Now, if this were a baseball game where the starter can't reenter, then yea...

Another interesting thought... All 13 teams from the SEC made the tourney. And next year, OU and Texas join the mix.

Interesting that Texas* will be matched up with Texas A&M in the Supers, assuming they both win their Regionals. OU gets Florida St. under the same scenario.
