Good luck to the Sooners this weekend in what looks like great weather for a track meet.

The Oklahoma Men's and Women's Track & Field Teams performed very well at the John Jacobs Invitational this weekend.

Nine Sooners earned an event title, 24 secured new collegiate personal bests and three landed marks on OU's all-time performance list.

The Sooners honored six seniors Saturday evening, Zarik Brown, Crislyn Cole, Destini Jeter, Richard Johnson, Fernando Morales, Amanda Obijiaku and Erin Weigel.

Head Coach James Thomas stated, "It has been an amazing two days of track and field in Norman. I am incredibly pleased with our athletes, their families, alumni, spectators, staff and outstanding officials. Organizing a home meet is a huge responsibility, and it becomes even more challenging when coupled with a great high school meet."

"The highlights of the weekend were not just about the performances and victories," added Coach Thomas. "My greatest joy was seeing our graduating seniors and managers honored in the best way possible. I want to thank everyone who enjoyed the wonderful weather and the fantastic atmosphere."
