Sooner Women's Golf: At The Bruzzy in Ardmore this weekend !

The Oklahoma Sooners Women's Golf Team will be at the The Bruzzy in Ardmore (Dornick Hills) this weekend. They will play 36 on Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Sophomores Savannah Barber, Isabelle Schlick, Gracie Mayo, junior Reagan Chaney and senior Nina Lang will represent the Sooners. Freshman Holly McLean will compete as an individual.

Reagan Chaney led the Sooners through 36 holes at The Bruzzy with rounds of 69 and 68 for a 3-under total in the first 36 holes. Chaney is from Ardmore, OK which must have made the day very nice for the local product. That was good enough to put Chaney in a tie for 1st place individually. The Sooners shot rounds of 294 (+14) and 283 (+3) for a +17 score and was in 4th place after Day 1.

Savannah Barber shot 76, 70 for a 6-over score for the Sooners. Nina Lang shot 72, 77 for a 9-over score. Isabella Schlick carded a 78, 72 for 10-over while Gracie Mayo shot 77, 73 for another 10-over score. Playing as an individual, Holly McLean shot a 73, 76 for a 9-over day.

Playing conditions must have been tough on Sunday in Ardmore as the scores were pretty high for all of the teams. Oklahoma shot an 18-over round on Sunday to give them a 35-over par final score at 875 and a Tie for 5th Place finish in the The Bruzzy. Arkansas won the tourney at 16-over par. Oklahoma tied with North Texas.

Individually, Reagan Chaney finished with a 75 on Sunday to finish at 2-over for the Tourney at 212 for a tie for 4th place. Chaney finished 5 shots out of 1st place individually.

Nina Lang shot a 74 on Sunday for a +13 total of 223.
Savannah Barber shot a 78 on Sunday for a +14 total of 224.
Isabella Schlick shot a 77 on Sunday for a +17 total of 227.
Playing individually Holly McLean shot an 81 on Sunday for a +20 total of 230.

The Sooners wrap up the regular season with The Match Play at Jimmie Austin April 8-9.

Isabella Schlick had a Hole-in-One on Saturday on the #2 hole at Dornick Hills.
