The Olympic team will be named at the end of the US Olympic Trials in Minneapolis on June 30th. Leading up to then are a number of events that hopefuls will be competing at in order to make the team. Here are those events:
February
5-8 National Team Camp (Houston, Texas)
23-25 Winter Cup (Louisville, Kentucky)
March
8-10 World Cup (Baku, Azerbaijan)
12-18 DTB Pokal Mixed Team (Stuttgart, Germany)
April
16-22 Jesolo Trophy (Jesolo, Italy)
22-29 Pacific Rim Championships (TBD)
25-28 American Classic (Houston, Texas)
May
17-19 U.S. Classic (Hartford, Connecticut)
30-June 2 U.S. Championships (Fort Worth, Texas)
June
27-30 U.S. Olympic Trials (Minneapolis, Minnesota)
Elite level gymnastics scoring is very different from NCAA. So don't try to compare the scores.
Here is how Addison is doing so far:
Winter Cup (Louisville, KY)
28 gymnasts competed in the All Around. Another 6 competed on at least one event (including Suni Lee, who only competed on Bars and Beam). Addison finished #6 in the All Around. The top 6 were:
# | Score | Gymnast | Team |
---|---|---|---|
1 | 56.850 | Kayla DiCello | Hill's |
2 | 54.650 | Skye Blakely | WOGA |
3 | 54.000 | Hezly Rivera | WOGA |
4 | 53.250 | Trinity Thomas | Univ of Florida |
5 | 52.300 | Dulcy Caylor | World Champions |
6 | 52.250 | Addison Fatta | Prestige |
World Cup (Baku, Azerbaijan)
Results are confusing me a bit, but I don't see any USA women listed as competing.
DTB Pokal Mixed Team (Stuttgart, Germany)
Looks like 3 USA women competed in the Mixed Cup. Addison is one of them. Interestingly, Fuzzy Benas also competed here.
On Vault, Addison finished 2nd behind Dulcy Caylor (USA).
On Bars, Addison finished 5th with the only other American, Nola Matthews finished 2nd.
Those appear to be the only two events she competed on.
Next up is the Josolo Trophy in April.
