The 13-6 Oklahoma Sooners Baseball team who ranked in the second set of ten teams will host Dallas Baptist tonight who is also ranked in that second ten set of teams. Dallas Baptist is 16-3 on the season. Earlier this year, the Sooners played at Dallas Baptist on Tuesday after the opening 3 games of the year. Dallas Baptist won 11-7. In that game, Dallas Baptist scored 4 runs in the bottom of the 7th to go up 11-7 after OU scored 3 runs in the top of the 7th to tie the scored at 7-7.

The Oklahoma Sooners (317) dropped their game last night to #15 Dallas Baptist 6-0 as OU failed to score for the first time since 2022 (per the article). Dallas Baptist scored on a solo HR to open the 2nd inning, a two-run HR in the 4th and then 3 runs in the 9th on a RBI walk, a wild pitch and a RBI single.

The Sooners sent 9 pitchers to the mound last night in what must be a 'clear the bullpen night' after six games in 8 days. The Sooner pitchers allowed 9 hits, 5 walks and 10 Ks in the game along with the two HRs. Juggling the pitching staff week-to-week is a thankless and difficult job for any teams coaches.

On offense, the Sooners only had five hits with one double along with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. Jason Walk, playing for John Spikerman in CF, was 2 for 3 last night with a SB after picking up his first hit as a Sooner on Sunday. I heard on the Channel 9 Sports last night that Spikerman is out for the Sooners for 6 to 8 weeks but Blevins did not say why. I am guessing a leg issue.

Dallas Baptist raises their record to 17-3 while Oklahoma drops to 13-7.

The Sooners continue an eight-game homestand by hosting West Virginia this weekend, March 22-24. First pitches are set for 7 p.m., 4 p.m. and noon CT, respectively. Friday's game will be televised nationally on FS1, while Saturday and Sunday can be seen via SoonerVision on ESPN+.

Teddy Lehman is going to be livid with this result. He has been, jokingly, calling Dallas Baptist as a thorn in the Sooner's side.
