Sooner Softball Career Stats Update: March 14, 2024

With Jennings and Coleman moving up the categories, the changes continue.

Career Hits:
Tiare Jennings now in 8th place for Career Hits. She now has 267 career hits. She passed Kelli Braitsch ('00-'03) @ 266 this weekend. Destinee Martinez ('11-'14) is in 7th with 268 hits and Chrissy Ring ('99-'02) is in 6th with 276 hits

Career Walks:
Jayda Coleman is now in 7th place with 138 Career Walks. She passed Jessica Shults ('10-'13) who had 126 earlier this year that I do not think I mentioned. Coleman trails Brittany Williams ('11-'14) in 6th place with 147 walks.

Career Runs:
Last weekend and on Tuesday, Jayda Coleman passed three Sooners this weekend. Coleman now has 235 runs and is in 4th Place in Career Runs. She passed Amber Flores ('07-'10), now in 6th, at 232 career runs. On Tuesday she passed Norrelle Dickson ('04-'07) and Caleigh Clifton ('16-'19) with 234 career runs. Coleman now trails Jennings with 237 runs, Chamberlain with 272 and Alo with 281. It will be interesting watching Jennings and Coleman add runs to their totals and bouncing back an forth in 3rd and 4th places.

Career RBIs:
Kinzie Hansen has rising in the Career RBIs leaders this season. With her 15 RBIs, Hansen is now has 193 Career RBIs and is in 10th Place in Career RBIs. Ashli Barrett ('98-'01) has 190, Nicole Pendley ('15-'19) has 189 and Lisa Carey ('98-'01) has 184 and are in 11th, 12th and 13th places. Shay Knighten ('16-'19) has 197 Career RBIs and is in 9th Place for the Sooners.

Some HR info about transfers into Oklahoma.

Shelby Pendley is the leader in this category that I am aware of. Pendly ('13-'15 at OU) hit 65 HRs as a Sooner. At Arizona as a freshman in 2012 she hit another 19 HRs for a total of 84 Career HRs. Shelby Pendley, with 84, sits in 10th in Career HRs.

Jana Johns ('21'-'22) hit 25 HRs as a Sooner. She also hit 25 HRs at South Carolina in ('18-'20). That is 50 Career HRs which is no small feat.

Alyssa Brito ('22-'24) has hit 38 HRs as a Sooner. She is 12 HRs away from 50 HRs as a Sooner. That would be 10th in Career HRs if she reaches that nimber. But, Brito did hit 10 HRs as a freshman at Oregon in '2021. She now has 48 career HRs.

Cydney Sanders ('23-'24) has hit 19 HRs as a Sooner. She hit 21 HRs as a freshman at Arizona State. that gives her 40 Career HRs.

Alynah Torres ('23-'24) has hit 3 HRs as a Sooner. She hit 37 HRs as a FR-JR at Arizona State. She now has 40 Career HRs.
