The Oklahoma Sooners Baseball Team (6-5) opens their Big 12 conference play this weekend against the Central Florida Golden Knights (9-1). The games are now going to be played on Friday at noon CT, Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at noon after a bit of rescheduling due to weather.
The series can be watched via SoonerVision on ESPN+ with and heard locally in Oklahoma on SportsTalk 1400 AM/99.3 FM or nationwide on The Varsity app. Live stats can be found at "OUStats.com".
Here are the batting and pitching lines for both teams.
Oklahoma:
.330 BA, .430 OB%, .517 Slug%, 84 runs in 11 games (7.64 R/G), 27 doubles, 5 triples and 11 HRs, SB 19 of 25, Field% of .962 with 15 errors
5.59 ERA, 96.2 Innings, 104 hits, 66 w/HB, 120 K, EBH allowed 16-2-14, 72 runs allowed (6.55 RA/G)
Central Florida:
.325 BA, .414 OB%, .478 Slug%, 84 runs in 10 games (8.40 R/G), 22 doubles, 2 triples, 9 HRs, SB 9 of 15, Field% of .985 with 5 errors
4.34 ERA, 87.0 Innings, 87 hits, 38 W/HB, 96 K, EBH allowed 16-3-10, 46 runs allowed (4.60 RA/G)
The two teams are pretty evenly matched it looks like from the stats, but UCF does look like they might have a pitching edge. OU's pitching has had 4 bad games where they gave up 51 runs while in the other 7 games they only allowed 21 runs. If the Sooners pitch well as they have in those 7 games, they should have a good shot at being successful this weekend.
