Now don't take this the wrong way, but if it was going to happen, better this year than last. She was a GIANT part of #7!
Here's to Jordy's recovery and return to greatness on the mound!

Or....you can take this one step further in a different direction....what if it does happen to her this year but she never transferred? ....so we would not have gone into the portal and picked up Keeney, Maxwell, and Monti.
Yikes!

God speed to a fast and complete recovery Jordy......See you next year!!

That's the scenario I was thinking about. If Jordy would have been here this year. I think Patty would have still brought in another pitcher from the portal to replace Storako. If we would have got Maxwell is something only Maxwell or those closest to her would know.
If Jordy would have had this injury last year, the 3 Peet probably doesn't get accomplished.
I feel for Jordy and I know the Nebraska fan base must be crushed. I sure she will be back sometime next season as good as ever. I have to admit that I was looking forward this year if played them, the battle with our hitters and Jordy would have been must see TV. I am sure the networks are bummed too.

So, when can we expect someone to blame OU, or OU Softball, or Coach Rocha, or Gasso, for the physical shortcoming suffered by Jordy Bahl?

You are probably right, and I thought about this after I posted.....Monticelli was the first arm right out of the box that we went after and I think that one would have held. We had no pitchers signed in the '23 class (the Pickering Class--now playing) for the first time in forever, and I still think Monti was signed as a replacement "freshman" pitcher to make up for that. I don't think KellyMax had even entered the portal at that point---and she went over to the UK to pitch for team USA. But we probably wouldn't have picked up Keeney after getting Monti if Jordy was still a Sooner. We would have 5 at that point and I figure we prob stop there. Since Jordy did transfer, and Maxwell was overseas....I still figure we went ahead and picked up Keeney as a safety flyer in case we didn't get Vawter, or later, Maxwell.
Hindsight being 20/20, we came out in unbelieveable shape. Smelling like a rose.....so to speak.
