Sad news. I worked for his dad a couple of summers when I was going to school at OU. His dad was a really goood guy to work for.

RIP Toby Keith,
Love his music, especially when he joined in on vocals for “Long Train Running” with the Doobie Brothers and Huey Lewis played the harmonica…..The power and feeling in Toby Keith’s voice gave that song much more impact

Lotta good songs. "Shoulda Been a Cowboy" was the most-played song on country radio stations during the decade of the 90's. "Don't Let the Old Man In" hits me hard these days as I get older and tired-er. And his music videos made me laugh. He may have been the last great country singer, before it turned into pop.

This hurts me to the core and I don't really know why .I did not know Toby and never even met him but it still hurts . Only thing I can compare it to is the loss of Wayman . On the the search for a silver lining Toby and Wayman can jam together forever in heaven .

Great Sooner fan, Great American, Great person. I never heard a bad word about the guy. He will be remembered as a great performer
Along with all the above. Marriage 30 years on top of that. Represented Oklahoma in a very positive way. He was just to young at 62
To leave this world. Rest In Peace our friend, you added so much to our state, & country and will be dearly missed. I would think
God has a special place for you.
