12 days of Christmas
This X poster is celebrating the 12 days of Christmas by posting Sooner Softball highlights. This is Day 5, but you can find the first 4 days at this persons X feed. The first days have been great trips down memory lane.

This series of videos bring back so many great memories and key plays that are forgotten over time. You forget the clutch two out hits and defensive errors ahead of the epic home runs that made the comebacks possible.

This was a really big series. I was excited that we made it OKC but I thought that Michigan was going to destroy OU. The 2016 team was awesome
OU's side of the bracket was loaded. They beat
6 Bama
2 Michigan
Then #4 Auburn in the Finals
2016 Brackets

IMO That one is right up there with Kenzie Hansen's 3-run homer to tie the game up with just one strike left and already 2 outs in the Sooners' at bats.

The 2022 WCWS was a fun one to watch for us Sooner fans. Both Tiare Jennings and Alo were on fire that year in OKC. Both of their dads had a lot of opportunities to celebrate with all the HRs hit by Tiare and Jocelyn.

The two at bats by Lee and Hansen were two of the most clutch hits in a bigtime moments that I have seem. thee are others, but in back-to-back at bats, These two plus the back-to-back HRs by Sanders and Lyons in the WCWS are examples why the Sooners are THE Sooners!

I knew they will win the Natty after that Clemson game. Nothing can stop them anymore, truly a team for the ages.

Kenzie's HR reminded me of Caliegh Clifton's 10th inning HR against Tulsa in 2017 after OU lost the first game of regional. If Clifton doesn't hit that HR, OU would have been eliminated in the regionals. Then Romero hit a walk off HR to keep OU alive. I guess both Kenzie's, Clifton's and Syd's HRs definitely meet the definition of Sooner Magic

Then, you need to add Jennings' solo shot the next inning to beat Clemson in that second game, which allowed OU to win the regional.OU_Tom wrote: ↑Sun Dec 10, 2023 11:58 am Kenzie's HR reminded me of Caliegh Clifton's 10th inning HR against Tulsa in 2017 after OU lost the first game of regional. OU needs to make Plank's call of the 2017 and 2016 post season available on Soonersports or somewhere.

There have been so many clutch hits by Sooner players over the Patty Gasso Era it's hard to believe! The 2013 series against Tenn, trailing by 3 to start the inning, and still trailing by 2 down to their last strike in the 11th. Destinee Martinez drives a triple to the centerfield wall, and Callie Parsons follows with a double to the left-centerfield wall to tie it. Next inning, Lauren Chamberlain ends it by golfing a 2-run walk-off shot down the left field line. And there are more clutch hits by Shay Knighten than I can list. He already showed the dramatic 17th-inning 3-run bomb against Flordia to win Game One of the 2017 WCWS, but she also had a 3-run bomb in the bottom of the 8th against Bama the previous year in the WCWS to win the game. Then there's Alo's 2-run go-ahead shot in the 6th against FSU to ignite a 4-run rally that the Sooners went on to win. Etc, etc! I learned a long time ago to NEVER count the Sooners out of a game. There have been too many instances of super-clutch hits to ever doubt them!
I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong!
