Hopefully since we will be in the SEC it will help get more and more of the bigger/better/faster players and have better quality depth. But as constructed right now I’m afraid we will struggle mightily. We need help and lots of it. Not many TCU (this year) and BYU types in the SEC and they have gashed us pretty bad in the last two weeks, if not longer.WishBone wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 2:42 pm KJ wrote:Who’s injured? Seems like most starters played today, no? Stutsman, Williams, Bowman, usual cast of characters as far a I know. Even saw Bowens in on some plays. And even if injuries are a problem, it just reinforces my point. As currently constructed we are not sec ready. SEC has bigger and better players across the conference. If we get injured against tiny 12 teams and don’t have the quality depth to overcome it now, next year will be worse, much worse. We need portal help and a bunch of it.
Maybe we should stay in the LIl 12 then?

I LOVE WE KEPT THIS DIRTY TEAM FROM BEING BOWL ELIGIBLE!!
D has work to do but are banged up. Amd another 11am game of many doesn’t help plyers get fired up either.
10-2, after 6-7 is great. Coulda been more but is steps forward. Can finish 11-2 with good bowl game

I agree that DL is a great need for us in portal seasonKJinSkiatook wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 2:52 pmHopefully since we will be in the SEC it will help get more and more of the bigger/better/faster players and have better quality depth. That second half by the D left a bad taste, but hey a 10-2 regular season is GOOD.
Great win. TCU always has great athletes and present a challenge, we saw that with their skill players and linemen .
End of season great win….Debbie downers can stay silent now…..

Now the question is whether the men's basketball team can outscore the football team!

Yes, but Lebby did the D no favors. He came out in 2nd half and scored a FG (not runnimg Sawchuk) and then a long oass Int playcall. That changed the game and put D on heels with less hole crowd than normal on Black Fri early game. We had onjuries mounting up too. I think our team felt it was over at half and played that way.soonerTroll2 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 24, 2023 2:59 pm That second half by the D left a bad taste, but hey a 10-2 regular season is GOOD.
10-2 is a big jump from 6-6.

I had 10 & 2 in the preseason poll here on SoonerTimes. Where do I pick up my prize?

Well, our BBall team did outscore the football team (just barely), but more importantly they outscored USC. Thanks to a rebound tip-in by Oweh with 1.5 seconds, the basketball team stays undefeated, winning 72-70. They may be ranked next week.

11-2 wasn't an option to pick from.
