This feature adds support for mentioning a user by starting to type a @ in the posting field.
Once you select a user from the dropdown, the @ BBCode will be inserted and after submitting the post it will create a notification to that user.

So on phone when I typed in the @ nothing came up but once I started typing letters the pop up list came up. I typed ou and by then it popped up the list starting with names beginning with OU.

Pretty cool feature!!!

And after you did that it sent me a notification.
