The Oklahoma Sooner Cross Country Teams competed in the Big 12 Championships yesterday in blustry Ames, IA. The Men's Team finished in 8th place of 12 teams while the Women's Team finished in 12th of 14 teams.

I thought with a couple of the results earlier this fall that the Sooners might finish better in the Big 12 Championships, but the lack of a front-runner hurts both the men's and the women's teams. If both teams could pick-up or develop a Top 10 and a Top 20 runner, the results would be much improved. But I do think that both teams have performed better this fall.
