According to the OU softball home page schedule, it's on espn+ and the Varsity radio. Hope that's so.

It would be nice to see both Maya Bland and Cydney Sanders playing tonight.

I agree! I was just thinking about how well the Freshmen have played and my mind went to Maya. Coach seems to play injuries and dings conservatively, which I like. There is no rush to get anyone back in the game. I like Patty's player first approach.
I wanted to mention that homer by Nellie Mac vs NCTC....it's the WAY she hit it more than the fact of it. Her swing appeared effortless, smooth, and that sound like she cracked the bat....the ball went out of the yard and over the double fence I heard. Whoa!
Can the big hitters from the NCTC game continue their streaks? The pitching and defense will be elite this time.
"It's Iron-Sharpening Time in Oklahomaaaaa!"
* Pickering is amazing. Poised, powerful and advanced in her game already. 'Superstar' comes up every time she flips the Magic Eight Ball.
* Parker's stats were better than they 'felt' to me. No criticism of her, just a commentary on my lousy perceptions/expectations. She has good speed on the bases, too! I want to see that first HR, like everyone. It's coming.
* Lilio is still a sleeper as a hitter and fielder, IMO. I think I mentioned before her uncle? was a superstar in the Guam Pro Leagues; and he worked with her as a kid. I think she is a legit sniper with a bat, faster than she appears at 5'3", and has a very good glove! (Coleman was making some good-natured fun of Lilio's holding her bat so high in the box. I thought, "Yeah, keep going 5 of 6 and I'd hold my bat the same way." Ha!)
* To Hodge or not to Hodge..." I was so glad to see her have success at the plate with some EBH's. A confidence builder. SS is Hodge's position to win or lose right now the way I see it. Keep hitting the ball, Avery!
* Coor looks like she has muscled-up during her recovery. Consistent hitting vs NCTC. Excellent speed on the bases. Loved she got reps in the outfield!
Will try and see if I can find the game on the Varsity app.

Okay, so Sanchez and Mendes on the radio broadcast. Was Chris Plank on the video broadcast?

Football responsibility plus they have dj ,Nicole and destiny. No need for plank to call fall softball. I'm sure he wants to spend time with his familyinconnu wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 11:44 pmThanks. Not that I've heard, but I could've missed it. But I think with all the football stuff he has to do and the preparations for all that probably takes a lot of time and he needs some family time in here too.
I do miss him involved in the fall games though.

Yes he said it before fall ball then again Tuesday when people were complaining to him that the nctc game wasn't streamed. He has 0 to do with fall ball. Between football and wanting to spend time with his family he decided to let dj and Nicole do it. He also does some basketball games for the women so I'm sure he just wants to relax a bit before the season when he's busy through Juneinconnu wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 12:34 pmHas he ever said why he's not doing the PBP for the OU softball 2023 fall season?TropicalSooner wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 8:31 am Plank indicated on his show yesterday he was going to just watch the game as a fan.
