I’ll be rooting for Bama to lose vs Tex

...the only time I EVER pull for OwussU is when they play Texass.

I'd pull for the Taliban, the CCP, or Russia if they're playing Texass!

I can’t root for the shorthorns. Bama has a tough enough schedule so a win won’t hurt. Plus they come here next year and will be over confident if tbey beat shorthorns this year. Since its OOC we can still have OU/tx in B12 title game, it will have no bearing.

New to the board as well. Well, newly registered, been creeping over here for years.

Anyway, Roll Tide!!! Can’t imagine a scenario that involves me rooting for Texas.

Stoked about the possibilities for the team this year. Cautiously hoping for a 10 win season. I’m completely sold on Venables. Perfect hire at the perfect time.

Welcome to the board Bricklayer.

If that is a work reference in your handle, I'm just curious, did you have anything to do with the camouflaged OU in the brick work when they made their last Upgrade to Boone Pickens Stadium?

In case people don't know or remember, I'm not making this up. It actually happened in 2004. I couldn't find the picture of it (maybe someone else has it), but I did find this:

Doesn't show up all that well in the picture, but the area of interest is circled...

To the original question: when will we know?

Many say not until after the Tex game, but there is a possibility that UT is just not good. Alabama May beat them by 40 tomorrow just to prove a point. Beyond that, there is the possibility that the B12, (not including OU), is just not good.

So we may not know until OU plays a CFB semifinal.

Did they ever replace it or is it still there?

My understanding is that the masonry contractor had to replace those bricks at his own cost. I'm sure Boone was none too thrilled about it.
