The Spark lost a heartbreaker tonight to the Pride 6-5 in 10 innings. They were scheduled to play a double header, but the first game ran so late, they ppd the second game to tonight. I'm not sure if that was supposed to be a make up game for one of the earlier games that was ppd due to weather or not.
First pitch for tonight's game is schedule for 7:30pm.

Fri 7/22 Lineup vs Pride

CF Alexander
DH Alo
1B Leilua
3B Sherrill
C Lee
RF Moultrie
LF Malau'ulu
2B Whaley
SS Busby

P Storako

Struggling Spark cannot put it together and lose the series to the Pride after the loss last night 6-0.
Storako started for the Spark and started well for a couple of outs but the Pride quickly figured her out and put up 3 runs in the bottom of the 1st, and another one in the 2nd and that was all for Alex.
Pride takes the series 2-1 and that drops the Spark back down into 2nd place in the standings. What had been a two horse race over the first half of the season between the Spark and the Smoke is now becoming a 3 horse race as the Pride are now very close to overtaking the Spark for 2nd place.
Here is the line score for last nights game:
Team-------R----H----E----LOB
Spark------0-----6-----1------6
Pride------6-----9------0-----9
WP Trautwein
LP Storako

A couple of former Sooners involved there.

Next up:
The Spark return home to Hall of Fame Stadium on Monday, July 24th to face off against the Vipers from Alabama at 7:30pm.
Everyone who can go out to HOF Stadium and support our local Professional Softball Team.
Go Spark!!!
