This may not be the place, but I wanted to expand on a previous post about Clemson having a SOS of 56. Of course this impacted the nomination for their best hitter for POY. Just a few facts :
Just a look at the first 41 games (stopped due to fatigue)

Final Rankings of teams played

200+ 7 (Really?)
100-199 12
50-99 8
25-49 7
10-24 2 Lost 1 Tenn
1-9 5 Lost 3 FL State

Ave Ranking 105
Batting Ave of Clemson's best hitter .483 after these 41 games
W/L 37-4

I guess you can see that Clemson played a lot of teams ranked in the 200's. It wouldn't be a stretch to think we may have had maybe 4 players with a batting average over .500 if we had played the same schedule. I don't think the SOS was taken into account when nominating the POY players.
