director of player development?

I noticed that we have a director of player development

Anyone have any more info about what that role is all out? Is that an assistant coach?

He was the Head coach at NW Oklahima State Universty in 2922. He took the P&D coaches role after the previous coach took a full assistants job at Oregon. I think that all happened after the 22 season completed. The P,&D Coach does a great deal of data work on bat speed, ball velocity of the bat, angle of the ball off the bat, etc. The previous OU P&D coach was a very valuable part of the Sooners w JT and the other coached giving her a great deal of credit.
He usually sits at a table by the dugout in the stands w a computer. It is the analysis of all the gizmo devices the Sooners use.

Maybe they could call him Secret Sauce Chef?
