It would have been a major upset if the ESPN and Coaches did not vote Oklahoma as the #1. Oklahoma has 6 returning starters and 2 of their top 3 pitchers coming back PLUS 4 of the best players in the transfer portal (with perhaps 3 more starters added and 1 top pitcher) joining the Sooners and at least 3 highly recruited freshman joining the team the Sooners are loaded as never before.
The 2023 schedule is as challenging as it has been for a while also. The 2023 season should be a tremendous season to be a fan of the Sooner Softball Team in every way.
