Pretty sloppy and forgettable first half. A lot of subbing, trying different combos so that plays a part but they look like a team that’s still trying to get on the same page.
I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong!

Horrible home loss out of the gate. Not good. Had big leads then blew it

It was a bad loss no matter how you slice it. OU led practically the entire game till that last shot. I think SH’s last lead prior to that was 4-2. The Sooners had a double digit lead for a large portion of the game. But in all honesty, they played like crap and it came back to bite them. Obviously not a good performance out of the box.

I may be wrong and I hope I am but wasn't real high on the Moser hire from about the middle of last year on, some of the decisions in tight games weren't right, I dunno this may turn out to be a great hire but i'm a little concerned.

51 points??? In a complete game??? Billy Tubbs is rolling over in his grave.
I'm far from a basketball expert, but it can't be good to have more turnovers (21) than made field goals (16).
Looks like it is going to be another long season of boring, poorly executed basketball.

I "watched" the last couple of minutes of the game on Live Stats.
Assuming the Stats were right, OU shot the ball and missed with 30 seconds left BUT the Sooners got the offensive rebound. With 30 seconds left, couldn't OU run out the clock w/o shooting or force Sam Houston to send them to the line?

They changed the rule last year (or the year before, I forget) to only putting 20 secs back on the shot clock after a rebound. So OU couldn't run the clock out.SwampSooner wrote: ↑Tue Nov 08, 2022 12:44 pm I "watched" the last couple of minutes of the game on Live Stats.

This is what happens when you hire a coach that had 7 losing seasons in 18 years of coaching. There was too much knee jerk reaction by Joe C. in what Moser did in recent years at Loyola. Didn't like the hire and still don't.
And this is basketball, not football, so there shouldn't be 3 to 5 year plans in a sport where one single player can change an entire team's fortunes in a single off-season. He's a very likeable and passionate person, but I don't think he will get the job done.
