For the Oklahoma Sooner Women's Tennis Team, Julia Garcia Ruiz (FR), played in the ITA National Fall Championships on Wednesday in the round of 32 players in singles. She defeated the #59 seed, Marlee Zein (Texas) by the score of 2-6, 6-4, 6-1. Yesterday in the round of 16, Ruiz dropped her match to A&M's Mary Stoiana 2-6, 4-6.

For the Oklahoma Men, the ITA National Fall Championships, Nathan Han won his weather delayed match on Thursday in singles by the score of 7-5 and 6-0 to advance to the next round. Han will also join with Jordan Hasson to play doubles today in the weather delayed action.

Another Sooners Men's Tennis Team player, Alex Martinez, is playing at the Fayetteville 15k Futures event. He played in the round of 32 on Nov 2nd (Tuesday) and won 6-2, 6-3 to advance to the round of 16.

for both teams, remaining team members of both teams will play in the Big 12 Fall Tourney (Women) and the Big 12/SEC Challenge Tourney (Men). starting today.

That is all I could find for the teams on W, TH.

I found this information about the Sooner Women's and Men's Tennis Team matches on Saturday.

Women's Team at the Big 12 Fall tourney:

Day 2 (Saturday) Recap:

Cisovska: 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win
Staker: 6-3, 4-6, 6-2 win
Guzman: 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-3 win
Pisareva: 6-3, 6-3 win

I. Corley: 5-7, 3-6 loss
Pisareva: 2-6, 2-6 loss
Cisovska: 0-6, 1-6 loss

I think that Straker and Guzman are still active in the singles bracket and will play on Sunday.

Men's Team at the ITA Fall Championships:

I could not find anything on Nathan Han's progress at the ITA on Saturday.

Men's Team at the Big 12/SEC Challenge:

Justin Schlageter won another match 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 over a player from Miss State.

I could not find any results for Baptiste Anseimo. I think he is still alive in singles.

Here is the final article written by staff writers about the dual-weekend of the Women's Tennis Team tournaments over the weekend.

https://soonersports.com/news/2022/11/6 ... vite-title

From the fall results, it looks like the Sooners will have a strong team this spring. I need to make a special point of going out to watch the women play this spring.

Congrats to the team on a strong fall performance.
