I was sent a text yesterday that someone had heard that Macy McAdoo had another hip surgery. I did not want to spread a rumor so I did not post anything. But lo, and behold, I was driving down Jenkins past Owen Feld and guess who is on crutches walking across Jenkins to the stadium. Macy with the same type of brace that she was wearing during the 2021 season but on the right hip/leg this time.
Too bad for her. I wish her well and the speediest recovery.

Oh no. Not again.
Best wishes to Macy for a full and speedy recovery!
Believer, would Macy be able to take a medical redshirt year?

Good question.
I know she did not for the 2021 season. In 2021 she played in 8 games (7.2 IP) and did not pitch after April 2. but that could have exceeded the games allowed criteria for her to get an injury year.
As far as I know, a player can get an injury red-shirt season in addition to the covid year exemption. I know or think Aaliyah Jordan is doing that for UCLA after last year's injury.
So maybe.

I just feel awful for her. I know she may have had some control issues, but she has always been one of my favorite players. She always keeps trying and is, from what I hear, one of the best teammates you could ever ask for.
I really hope and wish the very best for her.

Best of luck to her, but she should probably think about retiring. I don’t think she will be a factor in the pitching rotation. She can be an asset as a teammate in the dugout though.
