Thanks for posting the article, it covers most anything you would want to know.

Just curious, you think 56 might have written that with all the stats :D

LOL................yeah.......he really could have! But I guess the credit has to go to Natalie Hansen.
There's another guy on another board that is a real number cruncher that could have too....

Good article

To me the most amazing stats were that OU was able to continue to win overwhelmingly in the WCWS. Frequently we will see teams roll up the scores in the regular season but when they make it to post season (where they face better opponents/pitchers) their the ‘big’bats disappear. But this year OU just keep on cruising and winning by a TD or Two. What a team!

Date and OpponentW or LScore
6/2/2022 vs Northwestern W 13-2
6/4/2022 vs Texas W 7-2
6/6/2022 vs UCLA L 3-7
6/6/2022 vs UCLA W 15-0
6/8/2022 vs Texas W 16-1
6/9/2022 vs Texas W 10-5

I like the stat for defense, which clearly shows OU with the best defense in the country by a substantial margin equal to their hitting dominance. Not fewest errors, which OU was among the best, but how many hit balls are converted into outs. In that OU had an .758 percentage. #2 Stanford had .720.

Also the article shows again what we all know but much of the country's softball fans don't, and that's just how good Rylie Boone is. Can there be any doubt that on any other team in the country she'd be getting a lot of All-American talk. Four hundred hitter, as good as it gets in the field.
