Bottom post of the previous page:

Team USA lost to T.C. Colorado again on Saturday. This time the score was 3-2. All of the T.C. Colorado runs came in the 3rd inning. the inning went like this.

Walk, WP
With runner on 2nd, GO to SS
Walk, WP
Walk to load the bases
Single to plate one run, bases still loaded
Error with two runs scoring, runners on 1st and 2nd
Ground out to SS with runners moving to 2nd and 2rd
Strikeout looking.

It looks like Alexander gave up the 3 walks in the inning and Carda relieved to give up the single. The error looks to be on Pleasants at SS.

T.C. Colorado had 1 hit with 0 walks outside of that inning.

Team USA was lead by Flippen and Alo with 2 hits apiece with both hitting solo HRs. Jaquish, Klingler and Palacios each had singles.

If I have figured this out correctly this is today's schedule.

1. Chinese Taipei plays Netherlands.
2. Winner of (1) plays Team USA. (It looks like the loser of this game is the Bronze Medal winner.)
3. Winner of (2) plays T.C. Colorado (Gold Medal game.)

Here is the recaps from the two games that Team USA played on Sunday. Team USA won both game to win the Gold Medal.

USA Defeats Netherlands On Heels Of Ford's No-Hitter

Jailyn Ford was brilliant in the circle on Sunday, as Ford threw a no-hitter to lead USA past Netherlands 7-0.

USA secured the victory thanks to four runs in the second inning. Sharlize Palacios, Sami Reynolds, and Charla Echols powered the big inning with RBIs.

USA got things started in the first inning. Hannah Flippen's sac fly scored one run for USA.

USA notched four runs in the second inning. The offensive firepower by USA was led by Palacios, Reynolds, and Echols, who all drove in runs.

Ford was credited with the victory for USA. Ford allowed zero hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out three.

Marjolein Merkx took the loss for Netherlands. Merkx allowed four hits and five runs over two innings, striking out two.

USA hit two home runs on the day. Palacios went for the long ball in the second inning. Taylor Pleasants had a dinger in the third inning.

Pleasants, Kiki Milloy, Kayla Kowalik, Reynolds, Sahvanna Jaquish, and Palacios each collected one hit to lead USA. USA was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jaquish made the most plays with ten.

USA Takes Early Lead In Victory Over T.C. Colorado

I am not sure why that Jocelyn Alo did not play on Sunday for Team USA. She was not in the lineup for either game and was not used as a pinch-hitter. I believe Alo was 11 for 18 in the Canada Cup games with 8 RS, 10 RBIs, 3 doubles and 3 HRs and a couple of walks in the 7 games she played in. It seemed like that Alo, Hannah Flippen and Sahvannah Jaquish were the three best offensive players for Team USA in the games.

Congrats to Team USA as they won they Gold Medal and went 7-2 during the play.

OU softball Twitter posted pictures last night of Jocy in LA for the Honda awards ceremonies- I suspect that is why she wasn’t with team USA.
