The Sooner M&W T&F had a very successful weekend at the Big 12 Meet in Lubbock.

The men claimed their first second-place finish since 2013, while the women took third place for the third time in program history. Oklahoma concluded their time at the conference championship with five Big 12 champions, 49 podium finishes and several personal records. The men totaled 127 points and the women finished with 101.5 points.

It sounds like the Sooners had a very good indoor and outdoor season with more to come for some of the athletes.

I don't seem to be able to find and confirm the 5 Big 12 Champions but combing through the articles I found these 5 winners that were noted:

- Redshirt junior Vernon Turner took home the gold in high jump, clearing 7-3.25 (2.22m). With the win, Turner has claimed the 2022 Big 12 Indoor, NCAA Indoor, and now Big 12 Outdoor title.
- Senior Kristo Simulask dominated the competition and became the Big 12 Decathlon Champion, totaling a PR of 7,926 points. He finished the meet with nine new personal records and now holds the school record.
- Freshman phenom Olivia Lueking cleared a new school record at 14-7.50 (4.46m) to take the pole vault title. Lueking now owns both 2022 Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor titles.
- Friday's action kicked off with OU's first title from redshirt senior Lauren, where she marked a 222-1 (67.69m) in women's hammer throw.
- On the men's side, senior Bayley Campbell completed the hammer throw sweep by taking the title with a mark at 230-2 (70.15m) to set a new school record.

Congratulations to both teams for their high finishes in the conference and to the individual winners and the team members that made it to the podiums.
