Brutal loss oh so close and had chances. Not sure we make MM. But they never gave up credit to them. Did better than I expected this year

Strange ending to a good game.

With under a minute to go, referees call a phantom foul on a clean Hill block. Tech makes both free throws to go up 2.

With 8 seconds to go, Hill goes up for the tying goal and is fouled by Tech. There was no call. Should have given Hill 2 FTs with a chance to win the game. He is one of our better FT shooters.

However, J Groves was fouled while fighting for the rebound and was given a 1 and 1 FT attempt. He is one of our poorer FT shooters. He makes the 1st and misses the 2nd. The ball gets tipped out where Mo Gipson grabs it and drives the lane. He is bumped and grabbed by 4 Tech players and they ripped the ball away. Mo is then called for traveling. Hard to do without the ball. Game over.

Unfortunately, almost will not get us into the tournament. Especially with 3 #1 seeds losing today to borderline teams.

I think we are in MM. They want potential OU has that with 6 top 15 wins and a game today that the refs gave to tTU....

It is not like there is a limit per conference it is just a gut call on the best 64 based on competition. They all said during the game that the Big 12 was the toughest conference...

For us to have a chance at being in, the higher seeds must hold serve and the upstarts, like A$M and Indiana, need to be crushed in their games.

Also, SMU must NOT win their conference tournament.

that was some awful ref'ng last night, not blaming the loss on it because it was bad all the way around but a couple of calls in the last minute doomed us. still had a shot but the same problem last night in so many other close games this season looking lost in the last seconds and unable to execute a play and get a shot off.

Something else interesting Porter Moser noted postgame is that all but two of Oklahoma’s losses came to NCAA Tournament teams (removing OKST)

And those two came in overtime (Butler) and in the fifth game of the season (Utah State)

SOS is OU’s biggest selling point

We will find out Sunday, but playing this way at the end of the season and beating Baylor and taking Tech down to the wire is not something that most of the teams already solidly in the tournament could even hope to do...

They say they want teams that will be competitive ......let’s see.....

I watch some of the other conferences and they are not as nearly physical as the Big 12 and don’t play tight defense like the Big 12 does....

In the NET basketball ranking of Div 1 NCAA teams, Oklahoma is ranked #39 and is playing well above that ranking at this time.

Looks like the forecasters are predicting is to be among the first 4 out of the tournament. Not looking good.
