#1 J Alo Utility/DP
#5 T Jennings 2B
#14 K Hansen C/1B
#16 J Coleman OF
#26 G Lyons SS
#67 M Donihoo OF
#72 H Trautwein RHP
A few notes about the rankings.
- There were no freshman included in the rankings. (This explains the absence of Bahl P/Utility)
- As noted above, OU was the only team that had 7 players included.
- The top 4 teams were, OU with 7, UCLA with 5, OSU and Te xas with 4.
- Grace Lyons was the highest rated SS.
- EIS will release the next 50 players this week, for a total of 150, and also a list of each position rankings.
1 Alo, DP/Utility, OU
2 Fouts, RHP, Bama
3 Kowalik, C, Kentucky
4 Plain, RHP, Washington
5 Jennings, 2B, OU
6 Cagle, RHP/OF, Clemson
7 Echols, 3B, Florida
8 Rochard, LHP, VA Tech
9 Storako, RHP, Michigan
10 Faraimo, RHP, UCLA
i cannot argue too much with that Top 10, except that I would lower Echols of Florida and insert Hansen in her #7 ranking.
EIS placed these three players above Hansen:
- Jefferson #11, 2B, Tex as
- Haff, #12, RHP, Arkansas
- Brady, #13, Utility, UCLA
There is no way that those three players are better players than Hansen. And as I said, Echols is not either.
A case can be made for Rochard, Storako, and Faraimo being equal to Hansen as pitching is very important to a team. Pitchers just get a bonus.
I worked yesterday on a team rating for each team that had players listed. I will post that later today.
