OU-FSU Game 1

Not a good start by Maxwell. Very wild. Yet with all that traffic, FSU didn't score. Then 4 pitches later, Tiare goes yard and OU leads 1-0. That has to be demoralizing! 1-0 OU headed to the bottom of the second.

Torres doubles to RC field wall and drives home Boone from first. 2-0 Sooners. After Sanders and Coleman scorched 2 balls that turned into outs, Tiare walked before Parker flew to center to end the inning. 2-0 OU going to the third.

Maxwell definitely does not have her best stuff tonight, loading the bases for the second time, and this time FSU made her pay with a base hit to tie the score.

We need to continue to pound the FSU pitcher, but it is now 2-2.

Maxwell remains off. FSU plates 2 to tie it up. 2-2 going to the bottom of 3.

A Brito Bomb, (a laser shot actually) opens a 3-run 3rd for OU. 5-2 Sooners going to the 4th.

Now 5-2, thanks to a HR by Brito and 2 unearned runs via a throwing error by the FSU pitcher. We'll take 'em any way we can get 'em...

After a conference at the circle, the coaches decided to leave Maxwell in with a runner at 2nd and FSU's biggest hitter coming up. {chewing nails}

It worked out, we were able once again to escape a dangerous situation. Fly out to end the inning, still 5-2, Good Guys!

Maxwell has struggled mightily, but FSU has definitely helped keep themselves off the board. A pop-up bunt/double play certainly helped that frame!

I wonder, how much longer will we stick with Kelly? She is definitely not at the top of her game...

Brito with the 2 run no-doubt dinger! Now 7-2, OU! That probably gets Kelly the freedom to go another inning or two.

Well, at least the bats have shown up! Another Brito Bomb and it's now 7-2. Still batting.
