Sooner Women's Gymnasts - National Honors from Finals

Post by OUBeliever56A »

There were some success for the Oklahoma Sooners Women's Gymnastics Team in DFW on Saturday night in the Finals. Here is the list of champions and the All-American honors for the Sooner Women Gymnasts:
  • Audrey Davis, who was crowned the national champion on uneven bars and balance mean, tallied three All-America honors in her senior season. She was named a first-team honoree on bars and beam, while picking up second-team honors in the all-around. Davis now has seven career All-America honors, with three on bars, two on beam and two in the all-around.
  • Jordan Bowers and Faith Torrez each took home a pair of honors. Bowers, who placed second on floor and third on bars, earned first team honors on both events to bring her career total to seven. Torrez, who was crowned the national champion on beam alongside Davis, earned first team honors on the apparatus along with first team honors on floor after a second-place finish.
  • Katherine LeVasseur, Ragan Smith and Keira Wells all claimed All-America honors as well. LeVasseur picked up her third career honor and second on bars with a first-team nod after placing third overall. Smith notched her seventh career honor with a first-team selection on balance beam. Smith has now earned four All-America nods on the event. The fifth-year senior earned a podium finish in her final season, placing third. Wells was the lone vault All-American for the Sooners, earning second-team honors in her first season in the Crimson and Cream.
