Spring Game Information

Post by WishBone »

NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced details surrounding its spring football game, scheduled for Saturday, April 20, at 1 p.m. at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. OU officials are monitoring Saturday's weather forecasts and any potential changes to the day's schedule will be communicated with as much notice as possible.
Tickets for the spring game, which is sponsored by Red Dirt Media, are available for purchase here.
SPRING GAME TICKET INFORMATION
All tickets for OU's 2024 spring game are for a specific reserved section, row and seat.
Season Ticket Holders and Donors
Tickets for OU football season ticket holders and Sooner Club members cost $10 each. Season ticket holders and Sooner Club members must log in to their online account to order.
MidFirst Bank East Stadium Club, Valero South Champions Club and Santee Lounge season ticket holders have access to purchase reserved tickets within their respective club(s) for $10 each.
General Public
Tickets for non-season ticket holders are $15 for reserved bowl seating and are available here. Tickets will also be available for purchase in-person on Saturday, April 20, at the OU Athletics Ticket Office (main box office on west side of stadium) and via the ticket booths by Gates 5 and 7.
Parking
The East Suite Reserved, Field House, Heisman, and Monnet parking lots, as well as the Asp Avenue Parking Facility, will be reserved for the spring game. All other parking lots/facilities, including the Lloyd Noble Center north lot, will be free to the public and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
A limited number of ADA spots will be available in the Asp Avenue Parking Facility on a first-come, first-served basis with a valid ADA placard (Asp Avenue Parking Facility parking pass not required).
Physical Disability Shuttle
Like the 2023 football season, the ADA stadium shuttle location is the OU College of Law parking lot, which can be accessed via the Chautauqua Avenue and J Willis Stovall Drive intersection. The shuttle unloads on Asp Avenue, immediately west of the stadium by Gates 1 through 4. Because of the high demand for the shuttle service, the service is restricted to those patrons who have a disability and one (1) caretaker for riders needing additional assistance. Patrons with a disability may ride the disability shuttle for a $5-per-round-trip fee.
Party at the Palace
OU will hold its "Party at the Palace presented by Allstate" pregame fan festival on the lawn immediately north of the stadium starting at 9:00 a.m. Many of the usual Party at the Palace elements will be featured, including a variety of food trucks (Midway Deli, Psycho Taco, Supermercados Morelos, Taste of Africa, HTeaO and Kona Ice), interactive games, music, balloon artists, face painters, inflatables, mascot appearances, a mini-football field and other activities (weather-permitting). The Coke Pregame Show at Party at the Palace will begin at 11 a.m. and feature additional entertainment including the Schwab's Meats hot-dog-eating contest. In addition to the several pregame activities located at Party at the Palace, Devon Energy's innovative STEM program "SportsLabs" will also be available to kids.
Stadium Entry
Normal stadium entry policies (including metal detector and clear bag) will be in place for Saturday's spring game. Gates will open at 11 a.m. and fans are encouraged to enter the stadium via the suggested gate on their mobile ticket.
Game Format
Saturday's game will feature the offense (Red Team) vs. the defense (White Team) and a point-scoring system for each squad. Each quarter will be 12 minutes in duration. At the start of the fourth quarter, a target score will be generated by adding 12 points to the leading team's score. If one of the teams reaches that target score before the fourth quarter clock expires, that team wins. If the target score is not reached by either team, the team leading when the clock expires wins.
Concession Food Specials
An exciting game day food special will be among the many available concession offerings at the spring game. Family packs of four hot dogs, four regular-sized soft drinks or bottled waters and a large popcorn can be purchased for $40 at two ground-level locations: the Nacho Express concession stand by Section 9 and the Redzone concession stand by Section 35.
StadiumDrop Food Delivery
Fans in the lower seating bowl not wanting to miss any of the spring game action can have concessions delivered to their seat by ordering from the StadiumDrop app. StadiumDrop can be downloaded via the Apple App Store or Google Play.
TV/Radio Information
The spring game will be televised by SoonerVision on ESPN+ and will feature play-by-play announcer Toby Rowland and analyst Dusty Dvoracek. The OU radio broadcast will air on the Sooner Sports Radio Network (flagship 107.7 FM The Franchise) with play-by-play announcer Chad McKee, analyst Teddy Lehman, sideline reporter Chris Plank and sideline analyst Gabe Ikard on the call.
Postgame Autograph Session
Weather permitting, the Crimson and Cream Collective will host members of the OU football team for an autograph session starting one hour after the conclusion of the spring game. The autograph session is for Crimson and Cream Collective members only and will be held at Gaylord Family – Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Details will be sent to Crimson and Cream Collective members. To become a member, visit www.CrimsonCreamCollective.com. Fans can also purchase a membership in person prior to the signing event.
Varsity O Sooners For Life Spring Weekend
This weekend also celebrates Varsity O's Sooners For Life Spring Weekend, dedicated to connecting and celebrating former OU student-athletes. This year's programming will include a golf tournament, an evening reception and the Varsity O Tailgate, in addition to attending the spring game. Communication was sent via email to former OU student-athletes from the Varsity O Association letterwinner organization.
