Oklahoma Sooners Men's Tennis OSU in Final Big 12 Play Saturday

The #9 Oklahoma Sooner Men's Tennis Team (5-1 in conference play) will hot the Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-3 in conference play) in Headington Family Tennis Center on the west ide of the LNC. The match will be Saturday at 1 PM.

The match will serve as Senior Day with Baptiste Anselmo, Nathan Han, Mark Mandlik, Alex Martinez and Justin Schlageter being honored after the match. Four of those seniors are contributing well this season and Nathan Han has contributed mightily in past seasons.

Oklahoma's 5-1 record places the Sooners in 2nd Place in the Big 12. OSU is 3-3 record places them in 5th. Oklahoma trails Texas, who is in 1st Place with a 6-0 record. Texas hosts Baylor who is 2-4 in conference play. Go Bears!

The #9 Oklahoma Sooners Men's Tennis Team won their final Big 12 match over Oklahoma State in a Bedlam Matchup on Saturday 5-1 with one match left unfinished.

Oklahoma State did win the Doubles Point as they won the #2 and the #1 matches over OU with 6-3 and 6-4 set totals. The #3 match was unfinished at 4-5 when play was stopped.

In the Singles the Sooners ran the table in 5 sets with one match left unfinished.

OU won the #5 match 6-3, 6-1, the #6 match 6-3, 6-3, the #4 match at 6-4, 6-1, the 3 match at 6-4, 7-5 and then the #1 match 6-0, 3-6 and 6-3. The final match at #2 was stoppped with a 3-6, 6-1 and 2-2 score.

Conf=gratulations to the Sooner Men on their win in Bedlam and for their runner-up finish at #2 in the Big 12 Conference.

The No. 9 Sooners head to Stillwater, Okla. to compete in the Big 12 tournament April 19-21. They will be the #2 seed and will play Texas Tech at Noon on the 19th. The Sooners defeated Tech 7-0 on March 21st in Lubbock.
