The Oklahoma Sooners were very successful this weekend at the Clyde Hart Classic Track & Field Meet in Waco, TX. The Sooners collected 3 first place finishes, 27 earned new career bests and eight recorded top-ten marks in the NCAA.

"We had a highly productive weekend in Waco. I am extremely pleased with the way the team performed and competed," stated head coach James Thomas. "March is a great month to compete and make the necessary meet-speed adjustments."

Olivia Lueking secured another meet title in the women's pole vault, measuring a 4.30m (14'1.25") jump.

"Olivia continues to compete. She found a way to win on a day where quite a few people were struggling with the conditions," said assistant coach for vertical jumps, Jerel Langley.

In his collegiate outdoor debut, sophomore Colton Rhodes took the men's pole vault title with a career-best 5.30m (17'4.50") mark.

Langley spoke on Rhodes' title, "I'm really happy with Colton's performance. It's been a long time coming and he's been working on some technical changes. It was great to see it all click this weekend."

Diego Trevino closed out field events for the Sooners with a title in the men's shot put. His season-best throw of 19.42m (63'8.75") is the third-best in the NCAA.
