The Oklahoma Sooners Men's Gymnastics Team had two gymnasts receive recognition By the MPSF and CGA gymnastics organization.

The MPSF Specialist of the Week, 5th Year Senior - Jack Freeman tied his career high on high bar, scoring a 14.500 to place second on the event, and notched a 13.750 on floor exercise in Oklahoma's meet at Michigan. The high bar score eclipsed his previous season high by two tenths. The Palestine, Texas, product ranks second nationally on high bar with his 14.350 average, and 10th nationally on floor exercise (14.117 average).

The MPSF Freshman of the Week, Nico Hamilton, registered a career-high 14.800 on floor exercise and notched a 13.600 on parallel bars, totaling 28.400 on his two events. His floor exercise tally included an incredible 9.5 execution score on the routine, and he stuck the dismount. He is only the second gymnast nationally to score at least 14.800 on floor exercise this season. The Grapevine, Texas, product ranks fifth nationally in floor exercise with his three-score average of 14.250.

Additionally, Freshman Nico Hamilton was named the CGA national Co-Rookie of the Week after totaling 28.400 on his two events Saturday at Michigan, the College Gymnastics Association announced Wednesday.
