Mary Nutter - What I hope for - Short Version
I promise, really, a short version.
I do not need 5 run-rule wins to be a fan of this team. But five solid wins where the conclusion is that the Sooners were the best team on the field is what I would like to see. But a couple run-rules would be nice.
I do not need 5 shutouts to be a fan of this team. Just five well pitched games of where maybe not more than 2 runs are given up in a game. A couple shutouts would be nice though.
I would like to see good solid defense in the field for the Sooners, which has been the case this season. I thought the ball was flying pretty well yesterday at the fields so the outfield defense and the ability to catch almost anything in the air might be a key.
I would be happy if the Sooners hit more than 10 HRs this weekend. It is the identity of the Sooners, well one of the identities. I would like to be able to stand and applaud 10+ of them this weekend.
I think May and Maxwell or Maxwell and May start on Friday against Mississippi State and Wisconsin. I think Deal will start against San Diego State on Saturday or one of the two games on Sunday against Seattle and LMU. The other two starts may be Maxwell and May or maybe someone else. Keeney may get a start, but she has been pretty good in a middle relief role.
If the rest of the team stays healthy and plays well, it is all good.

Yeah...prob not....Bruins have scored 4 in the bottom of the 7th against Nebr to tie the game at 8. If they don't walk it off now, then extra innings. Runners on 1st and 2nd with one out for the Bruins right now.

Nebraska gave up 5 in bottom 7 to lose 8-7 to ucla.
Game ended at 5:40 central, so next game won’t start until ~6:10. So our 7:30 first pitch is just a pipe dream!
plenty of time to enjoy our Gymnastics meet against West Virginia on ESPN+.

Game over.
Bruins pull it out 9-8
30 min betwn games and then UCLA v Northwestern.
oNly way ours gets remotely close is if one of those two teams run rules the other one. Ha!

UCLA just disposed of Northwestern 1-0 a couple of minutes ago. OU vs Mississippi State is next up, I imagine the grounds crew will take about 10-15 minutes at least to get the field ready for the followup game?
