There may be only one 5-star recruit in the Oklahoma Sooners recruiting class, but Brent Venables has done an excellent job stockpiling talent with 20 players ranked in the top 500 nationally.

IMG Academy standout David Stone is their top recruit and a top 10 player overall in the 2024 class, and he moves better than his 6'4", 275-pound frame might suggest. How he grows into his frame will determine his future position, but he checks all the boxes to be a disruptive force along the defensive line.Will there be any surprises?

TODAY, the HS players actually sign their LOI to play football at OKLAHOMA.
They've not only committed but they've signed their name for a chance to be a SOONER!

Hopefully, there will be at least 28 names today.

Just because I like to remind people, Trent Williams was a 3* rated guard when he signed out of Longview. Getting hung up on star ratings is a fool's errand to some degree. I like the kind of guys we're signing, and I'm sure Cayden Green taught them a valuable lesson about vetting a guys family influence.

You are sooooo right on that Joe Sooner. My maybe the best running back to ever play the game was something like a 3 star if
you can believe that, his name was Berry Sanders. Joe Washington was another & the list goes on. Many times a kid that plays for
Small schools are over looked, because of the talent there up against. A kid the preforms great, people out side that community
will say, Oh that’s impressive but look who he played against. The other side of that, is Schools that acquire more talent then they
Have room for. That what makes the transfer deal work. Look at Jayson Hurts, that got benched at Alabama, & came here. Look at
Him now in the NFL.

The one I saw was a linebacker out of Washington (Pratt?) rumored to flip but signed with Oregon, his original school.

That kid is the real deal, no question about that. We have a good room of running backs in this class. I bet we may see some of
those kids playing on the defensive side also.
