Sorry to throw cold water ... BUT .. good luck convincing 5*'s , or good 4*'s for that matter to run the triple option. You can do the same stuff from either the Veer or the Air Raid .. It's seems great for a smaller school like UNLV, I don't think it will get the traction at larger schools

Marion was the head coach of Saint Patrick Saint Vincent in Vallejo, California in 2013.
Marion resigned and moved to Pennsylvania to take another head coaching position at Waynesboro Area Senior High School in 2014.
Brennan was a quality control coach for Arizona State in 2015
In 2016 was a running back coach at Oklahoma Baptist University,
Then served as Howard University's offensive coordinator in 2017 and 2018.
In 2019, he followed head coach Mike London from Howard over to the College of William and Mary where he began serving as offensive coordinator.
Marion resigned from his position at William & Mary to serve as the wide receivers coach on Todd Graham's inaugural staff at Hawaii for the 2020 season.
On February 15, 2021, Marion joined the staff at Pittsburgh as the wide receivers coach.
On December 31, 2021, Marion was named passing game coordinator and wide receivers coach at the University of Texas at Austin
2023 Offensive Coordinator UNLV

That's 10 stops in 11 years. Yes you want coaches that are upwardly mobile. However, with an open transfer portal, do you want to do this again in a year or two?

Not a big fan of returning to triple option. The time it takes be good at triple option takes away from time to keep a passing game sharp .In addition qbs running option get beat on which affects passing game . Running some zone read option is one thing triple option is a whole different animal .

I hope and expect that each and every starting QB at OU has great NFL prospects—not just JA

Yes. And going triple option would not entice top qbs to want to come here beyond JA. They want to show what they can do to get to NFL, while trying to win in college. Its not a type play the NFL uses but in rare cases.
