Not sure what quality player he is or if there's off field issues, but he is a BIG player (6' 2" - 323 lb.) that just hit the Portal.
Burroughs played in six games as a true freshman in 2020, but was setback in 2021, playing in three games and taking a redshirt. He moved into a bigger, rotational role for Alabama in 2022.
He is originally from GA. His physical status will be a focus, but I'm sure there will a lot of tire kicking going on with this Portal entry.

From 17 June:
quote:
According to Tide Illustrated’s Tony Tsoukalas, Crimson Tide fourth-year defensive lineman Jamil Burroughs’ status with the team is uncertain at this time. The reason behind the discipline is "serious enough to result in the redshirt junior's removal from the program.”
Burroughs reportedly struck assistant strength coach and former Alabama defensive lineman Josh Chapman after an argument surrounding the use of gel pellet guns. Tsoukalas reported that Burroughs and other Crimson Tide players were play-fighting with the toy weapons at Bryant Hall when police were called to the scene — as well as Chapman. The other players involved were cooperative — Burroughs apparently was not, striking Chapman in the process.

This being the case, he will likely get a call from Georgia. They don't seem to have a problem with thug players being on their roster.OU Guy wrote: ↑Sat Jul 01, 2023 10:09 am From 17 June:
