I Jordy was getting the most NIL money at aroumd 68,000. If you can get her in that range and she fis the culture then you got to take her. May is a good setup pitcher but not a championship closer. Deal looks to have that potential but we dont know yet. She did perform very well in some high pressure situations . If we dont get Canady then we atleast need another Srorako or Trautiwein type of pitcher
All this talk about NIL money got me to wondering, How much does a Pro Softball player make? Some of this NIL sounds like it will rival what a pro makes. Maybe in some cases, the NIL will be more than a pro fast pitch softballer.
Any player demanding a certain amount in NIL money is not going to have the "fit" that we are looking for. Especially if that amount is above the cost of tuition and board.
That's not to say that she isn't worth it. That just means that kind of mindset is not what we are looking for.

When Patty bring in a transfer pitcher, I believe she does consult with the current staff to get their feelings about it. If Canady came here Deal and May would get plenty of innings. When it was assumed that Jordy would be here, I was a little concernef that Deal might transfer out. I do agree that parents who shop their phenominal athletic
kids for the highest bidder regarding NIL wise.make me ill. I do agree that an huge NIL deal for Canady may upset the team chemistry and possibly cause some more transfers
I hate that all this happened, but I guess it was the best for her.
Now I wish her all the best (except when they play us) and will take a little consolation in the fact that she will still be in red, even if it is the wrong shade.
