I was a big Carson fan. My wife is from another country and has no memory of Carson. Her first memory of the Tonight Show is with Leno and, of course, she was a big fan of Leno. I could hardly watch him and I’d tell her “you have no idea what you missed”. Carson is a legend for a reason.
Side note: I no longer watch a lot of that type of show but I was originally happy to see Fallon take over. He’s bit on the silly side but seemed to have the respect of ‘that’ chair that I think he should and seemed to really enjoy the people side of it, and I mean all people. But was ultimately disappointed when he succumbed to the Hollywood expectation of political bias.
