The Floor scores were all close. The biggest difference is that we are good on all 4 events. We took first in Vault, Bars, and Beam. We took second to Minnesota on Floor.

On Vault, Olivia Trautman and Maddie Quarles (Minnesota) had 9.975 for first place.
On Bars, Danielle Sievers finished first with a 9.925
On Beam, Ragan Smith won with a 9.975.
On Floor, Mya Hooten (Minnesota) won with a 9.975.

Another good night for the Sooners. I still feel their best is still ahead of them. Just hold serve one more time and then pop the meet of the year.

BTW, Florida popped a 198.775 tonight. :eyes:

The crowd at LNC was a bit better last evening to cheer on the Sooners to victory. This team is just money. In a very tough sport, you can just count on each of the Sooner performers to execute a routine and get at least a 9.8 and usually 9.9 or better. There was a great amount of energy last night by them and by the fans. The 198+ team scores just keep coming from these young women.

It is a great sport to watch in person. You do not have to know a great deal about the sport to enjoy the routines and the atmosphere. Coach Kindler and the team are one of the very best, if not the best, team in the country. I think last night was their 12th straight Regional Championship. There were four regionals in the nation this weekend. So winning a regional in Gymnastics is like making the D1 Football Playoffs twelve years in a row.

Good luck to the team in Ft. Worth in two weekends on the 14th and 16th of April.

Here is the staff writers article about the Sooners Regional win on Saturday night.

These young women are great!
