This is an interesting thought process. I agree it will never happen. Can you imagine what the Tournament seedings would look like after 4-6 first round upsets?

I think you could re-seed for the sweet 16 round, but travel and logistics would make it impossible to re-seed after the first round. You couldn’t re-seed until the end of play on Sunday night - now do the re-seed and relocate a few/several teams and play by Monday night, without practice and without scouting? Just not feasible without a 2-3 day pause between rounds 1 and 2.
