Men's BB set to challenge Kansas in Lawrence tomorrow!

Post by OUBeliever56A »

SATURDAY, FEB. 12 / 12 P.M. CT / ALLEN FIELDHOUSE / LAWRENCE

Here is the pregame staff article.

Allen Field House in Lawrence is a tough place to lay and win as a visiting team. Let's hope Gibson has his shooting eye as well as a couple of other Sooners!

This game is on major TV CBS. Would be a good time to show out and steal a win with so many eyeballs watching. Kansas is favored by 10.5. Porter has most top 15 wins by a 1st year head coach at 4. Its been forever since we won there.

think I heard it was a 30 year drought for us up there, back to Billy's time since we last won at KU.... be funny as heck if this group could pull of the upset.

The Sooners haven't won in Lawrence since 1993. Because of the North/South divisions in the Big 12, OU only played in Lawrence every other year from 1997 to 2011, so they haven't lost there 28 consecutive times, but it sure does feel like it!

dang lost the lead

if you missed it Harkless had a block on a KU guy going for a dunk in the first half that was one of the best blocks you'll ever see.

That was a tough way to lose. Played pretty well for 3/4 of the game, then just went cold. Rallied at the end, missed a shot that would have tied it at the buzzer. Phooey.

If this team can put 40 minutes together, they could make some noise in the tournament. Not a lack of effort, but need to be more consistent.
