Coach Bates with back-to-back fine IDL classes and a top transfer for this season. OU has readied itself for SEC line play. Assuming the refs call holding equally for a change, OU will have a good pass rush and stout line to support excellent LBs.

Previously OU lost many of these battles because it was not an SEC school ... now that the SEC is upon us .. starting with the 24 recruiting and portal classes BV and Co are winning these battles, because we ARE and SEC school!! It is what it is. OU is and always was mostly targeting kids in the South .. Texas, Fla .. etc .. a few cali and others sprinkled in, largely Southern kids .. Southern kids want to play in the SEC... here we are!

Not to mention that Bates and BV are strong recruiters individually. Being an SEC school is not sufficient alone to pull in elite classes.

I don’t know how these coaches do it. Not only recruiting high school kids and portal kids but also having to re-recruit their own kids already on the roster. It’s insane.

My guess is the offer won’t be pulled but OU will continue to recruit the position as if he is not committed. And then if another player at that position commits, Boucard may be told there is no longer room for him.
