Big 12 Baseball Tourney Begins Tuesday: OU plays Wed @ 12:30 PM.

The #1 Seeded Oklahoma Sooners begin their Big 12 Tournament pay on /Wednesday at 12 :30 PM in Globe Life Field in Arlington, TX. The Sooner will play the winner of Kansas (#7 Seed) and Kansas State (#6 Seed) who play Tuesday at 9 AM. The other half of the top bracket has West Virginia (#4 Seed) and TCU #9 Seed) who play Tuesday at 12:30 PM.

In the bottom half of the bracket, Oklahoma State is the #2 Seed. they will play the winners of the UCF (#8 seed) and Cincinnati (#5 Seed) game. The other half of the bottom bracket has Texas (#3 Seed) playing Texas Tech (#10 Seed).

4 PM - #8 Seed UCF defeated #5 Cincinnati 6-5 in 11 innings.
7:30 PM - #10 Texas Tech defeated #3 Texas 6-4.

It's very interesting that the lower seeded team won EVERY first round game. Hopefully the Sooner team will play like their weekend team and not their mid-week team!

Oklahoma defeated TCU today 4-0 with Braden Davis pitching a complete game 4 hitter with 0 walks and 9 strikeouts for the Sooners. He pitched a masterful game against TCU.

On offense the Sooners scored 2 runs in the 4th and the 6th to provide the offense against the TCU ace pitcher Payton Tolle. In the 4th, the Sooners turned 1 walk and 3 hits into two runs on an RBI double by Nicklaus and a single by Pettis. In the 6th, the Sooners scored two runs on back-to-back HRs by McKenzie and Nicklaus. The Sooners picked up 8 hits and 3 walks in the game as Tolle struck out 11 Sooners.

The Sooners will play #7 Seed Kansas tomorrow at 12:30 PM. Kansas defeated Kansas State (#6 Seed) 2-1 on Tuesday.
