Bottom post of the previous page:

Don't know if they showed this on TV, but there was a play in the game when Mo Gibson drove the basket and the 6' 11" center for Florida, Colin Castleton came over and swatted it out of bounds. Gibson looked over at the bench and Moser was standing there with his hand up over his head to indicate, hey Mo, that guy is WAY taller than you. You need to make better decisions. To me it didn't appear to be done in a mad sort of way. It actually seemed more humorous than anything else. Yet he got his point across very well. You gotta love coaches like that.

They said that at first the Gators were clearly taken out of their game by the crowd. When was the last time the atmosphere at the LNC was called intimidating?
It's been a long time. I know OU made a run of consecutive wins in LNC that stretched (I think) from Feb 87 to Jan of 91......51 games or so. During that run, the LNC was considered one of the most difficult places to win for a visiting team and one of the most intimidating. It was always a rowdy, merciless crowd for opposing teams. Took down a lot of #1-ranked teams during that stretch. OU reached the #1 spot on a few occasions, too.

Student tickets were also cheap and plentiful and probably filled 1/4 section of the arena from floor to rafter.

It had to both impress and disturb Lon a bit to see the place full and rowdy.

LNC rocked quite a bit in the early '80s with Wayman, Tim McCalister, Choo Kennedy, et al.

As much as I dislike the transfer portal, it really helped us in men’s b-ball this year.

OU had control entire game then went cold for 8 or so minutes and let Butler take the lead by 3. OU makes a great 3 with 1 sec left to tie. Heading to OT.

Caleb Williams is at game. I think/hope thats a good sign.

Here’s the 3

Sooners had no answers for Butler's zone defense.

Lost in OT 62-66. Were ahead 62-58 so need to learn how to finish. Hate to lose but can be helpful longterm. This one will sting its a game OU had both in regulation and OT and let slip away

This is one of the few games on a tv channel I could watch, the zone killed us but still had some open shots that wouldn't fall.

OU up 72-57 with under 4 min left

All 5 starters in double digits but whats cool is their totals at 10/11/12/13/14.

This team has 3 returning players! What a turnaround will be their 2nd win vs ranked team if they hold on.
