Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change

My lord Zac Alley sounds exactly like Brent. If you were to talk to him on the phone you could not tell the difference. Even his face-shall expression is the same? Amassing. I heard some one say that sounded alike, but I had no idea how much of a clone he would be. Man he should fit right in. I als...

I would have thought that honor would have gone to Todd. Makes me wonder if he isn't getting ready to make a move.

Re: Portal

He grew up loving OU and despising Texas. I have no idea how hard that 4 years in Austin might have been on Casey and the rest of the Thompson clan. It had to take everything Casey had to attend that university in Austin....it would be a hard choice, but I would have walked on at OU......or osu, at...

It's gonna be interesting to see if the ol saying "Never be the one to replace a 'Legend' " holds any water.

Re: Bama,s future

One thing that I learned in the corporate world, never take over a site that was doing really well....always go for the ones that have room for development. Otherwise, you'll find out that you can never be as good as the one that left.

...interesting that Dillon Gabriel has better odds than Jackson Arnold. But, encouraged JA is on the list, however premature. :ou: :ou: :ou: :rice: I think that Dillon is ahead due to the old "proven" vs "potential" thought process. If moon and stars line up just right fo...

Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change

On an off topic, Brent isn't the only one making changes......Brian Kelly has released his entire defensive staff after going 10-3 for this season and 10-4 for last season. One of the four was Kerry Cooks (2015-2018 OU assistant DC). It cost LSU a little more than $5 mil to buy out these coaches. On...

Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change

Since Alley is a Brent clone (his words), would lead one to think that he might just hang around for a decade or so waiting for his "Oklahoma" job to come open. This might just be a very good move on Brent's part.

Re: OU Commit Gatorade Player of the Year

Andy Bass is a rock. I know the highlights are just highlights, the stats are unbelievable, but the competition is 3A. I think he will be our next great walkon story and will excel at OU as soon as he recovers from the injury. Congrats to Andy! We are very lucky to have him, especially as a PWO. As...

Re: Alabama

I believe that Bama's Magic is gone because NIL took what Saban did "under the table" and put it smack dab on top of the table...right in the middle where all teams, that so desired and capable, could participate. The portal is now the dirtly lil under-the-table mode of operation. Poaching...
