Seems to me right after OU hired Stoops many people nationally thought OU made a mistake by not going with a 'proven' head coach. I think Stoops worked out well, I think BV will be better.

IMHO if Stoops has one BIG mistake in his time at OU, it was bringing Mike back. It caused BV to leave ( which might not have been all bad since he learned a great deal at Clemson) and if you fire Josh .. you HAVE to fire Mike. Also Josh was running the offense Stoops wanted!!! It's not like it was ...

I thought he was 24. I think he has to play his second season and graduate in the Spring. So he would be a FALL 24? I think. Unless he took extra classes and graduates early and can be at OU in the spring either way I think he would be in 24 class.

Look everyone will play EVERYONE every 2 years. Yeah 2024 we have Bama, LSU, Tenn, SC.. etc .. but then in 2025 .. OU will have Florida, Kentucky, Vandy, Miss, A&M , Georgia ...etc .. thats a little better but .. Kentucky is good , Jimbo is probably out after 24 , who knows how A&M will play...

Remember for 2023 they added the Tenn. DL and Washington ST DL too. Both big solid experienced players. In addition to what we had. If BV, Bates and Co. are ok with him coming in the class of 24, then so am I.

Ironically a month later most of them were USC's defensive staff, yet his $on still signed with U$C... I think it was the $ not the staff that made the difference.

I read somewhere that Lacey(? the ND DL transfer) might have been hit with an injury .. if so the 2 new portal DL from Tenn and Utah St ( if I remember right) are a HUGE get... Good job by Bates and staff.
