Re: FSU to the BIG???
I guess that's why undefeated ACC champ FSU didn't make it. They didn't have any quality losses.

Re: Big 12 to SEC Transition
I look at Nebraska, & wonder, did they gain a thing in leaving? How about Colorado, same with them? We shall see, but I do know it will be a much harder road to travel to another NC, than it has been in the past over all. But on the other hand we should be able to recruit a bit better Well, we'...

Re: Big 12 to SEC Transition
Been feeling a little strange lately thinking about this conference change. I was thinking about which bowl games I was most interested in watching. It's still the Big12 teams. I've been an OU fan since probably 1951 or so. It was the Big 7 then. OU has really never changed conferences in all that ...

Re: FSU to the BIG???
I thought Florida said they would vote against FSU joining the SEC Well, A&M thought that was how it worked, till it didn't. The article below came out a day after it was first reported that OU & TX were in talks with the SEC. Former Texas A&M official: Texas, Oklahoma joining SEC would...

Re: Sooner qbs in NFL history
I always thought when Hurts was here he wouldn't make it in the NFL. Me too. After being used to Baker and then Kyler, Jalen didn't seem to be quite as good at OU. But he's on a good team, and the Eagles do a good job of using his running ability. He took his team to the Super Bowl last season and ...

"What's the pitch to come to Oklahoma?"
Not 7 national championships or 7 Heisman winners or an NIL payday or the NFL or anything to do with football, but rather come to Oklahoma and you'll find a place to belong and people who willl help you learn to win at life.
That's my coach!

Now, there’s two things you need to know before we go any further: Henderson is an assistant coach an...

Mike Gundy, Brent Venables differ on how to solve college football chaos - article
Mike Gundy, Brent Venables differ on how to solve college football chaos By Berry Tramel Dec 18, 2023 Brent Venables likes to talk about his OU football program being relational more than transactional. He uses those terms a lot. And it makes everyone feel good. Harkens to a time gone by. Nine out ...

Baker had himself a day yesterday
22-28, 381 yds, 4 tds, 0 oskies, perfect 158.3 QB rating - the first visiting QB to ever do so at Green Bay's Lambeau Field (out of 424 games) I hope Baker has finally found himself a home in Tampa. Why Danny Stutsman 'Wasn't Ready' to Leave Oklahoma for the NFL Draft Ryan Chapman 12/12/23 NORMAN — Major life decisions are never easy. Danny Stutsman knows that firsthand. The Oklahoma linebacker who has grown into the centerpiece of Brent Venables’ defense went through the ringer this past week...

A week late, but for those of you who really get into the Army-Navy game, I came across this article on how and why Army changed their offense this year.

Re: OU Hires 2 QB Coaches
I suppose it's supposed to keep the wealthier programs from hiring 30 coaches. I'm not sure it's worked. OU's official page ( https://soonersports.com/sports/football/coaches?path=football ) currently shows 12 coaches and 30 support staff. Now, most of those support staff seem to be in administrati...

Nuances of the modern passing game
Here's a little explanation by former NFL qb Dan Orlovsky on how receivers have to adjust their route mid-play based on what the defender is doing, and the importance of receiver and qb seeing the same thing and being on the same page. It's not about OU, he breaks down two plays from a KC Chiefs ga...
