Re: What it Came Down To
"CatNop" ..IMO we are a good OL away from having a chance to be "really" good, Yes, I commented that now our DL seems squared away we can spend our time worrying about the OL and kicking. Given the bad state of the OL after the 2023 season, we have to be pleased that we seem to ...

Re: What it Came Down To
I'm glad Texas and the rest of the SEC and nation are oblivious to the fact BV has totally revamped our program in two years. He showed up and ran off the dead wood and recruited much better athletes on not only offense but also defense. We currently have more talent and depth on both sides of the b...

Re: Film on Louisville Transfer DT Jermayne Lole
Tell you what! Good DL are some of the hardest positions guys to find. There are many big guys, but big guys that are quick, fast, & strong is rare. Watch that kid on film & he stands out. He will become a huge name here, you can bank on that. Thanks for the film on that guy 🪰Fly :BV: :ou: ...

Re: Sooners in draft (nfl)
Is Raym projected to be drafted? I think he left OU too early. I’m not aware of a single person who believes Raym will be drafted. He had a horrible performance at the combine, and did nothing at all at OU’s pro day. Guess he just wanted to be done I have the same impression. He is most likely head...

Re: Film on Louisville Transfer DT Jermayne Lole
Love sustained some lingering injuries which likely kept him from being one of the top interior DL in the country. I hope he is over those injuries. He played last year with Louisville but was not 100 percent healthy.

Re: Do We Have Legitimate Concerns About Our Offensive Tackles?
If the Spring Game is any indication of OL status, which could be a big IF, then the OL situation may not be as questionable as widely believed headed into spring ball. With the addition of Hickman, the SMU center, via the transfer portal and Hatchett and Everett being healthy by end of fall camp, ...

Re: Spring game thoughts?
Although the Spring game typically doesn't reveal much, I thought Tarquin did a decent job at LT. I am very curious if Sexton will stay at LG and Tarquin at LT in the fall. RT didn't look as good. I noticed highly touted true freshman Eugene Brooks worked with the second team at RG. I realize G. Hat...

Do We Have Legitimate Concerns About Our Offensive Tackles?
Jacob Sexton has been playing left guard in spring practice after struggling at LT. Tarquin has started as the LT. We seem to be okay at guard with Nwaiwu a pleasant surprise and likely starter at RG. Heath Ozaeta is coming along well at guard and Sexton looked more of a natural at guard than tackle...

Re: Febechi Nwiawu.......Hoss
I hope he is as good as advertised. We need more physical linemen on both sides of the ball. In other news, David Stone weighed in at 296.7.

Re: Projected O'Line
I think the ncaa rule that prevents most players from returning to college football after going through a NFL draft is outmoded, like the ncaa itself Agreed .. if you aren't drafted and still have eligibility ... why can't they come back ?? the pro vs amateur this is basically bs with NIL. Time for...

Re: Projected O'Line
Troy Everett will have knee surgery and be out until the beginning of next season. That leaves no capable centers at the moment. There are still rumblings about Landen Hatchett transferring to OU from Washington during this upcoming portal period. If there is someone we desperately need, it is Lande...

Re: Projected O'Line
Per Ikard & Lehman's latest podcast, the starting OL has been as follows so far this spring: LT: Tarquin LG: Ozaeta C: Bates RG: Nwaiwu RT: Taylor Based on their comments, OU is in pretty serious trouble if this is the starting OL for game 1. Some additional comments: Ozaeta & Nwaiwu look g...

Re: Projected O'Line
I frankly have no idea who will start or be in the regular rotation. Bates is a surprise on this chart. I assumed Troy Everett will start. He has put on some weight which is a good thing. Jake Taylor or Spencer Brown at RT is a good prediction. Jacob Sexton at LT is the most predictable. I hope he h...
