Re: Caleb Williams

No hard feeling for Caleb Williams with me. I was pretty disappointed he didn't stay. I had a feeling he was starting to see OU as his school, program and team.........taking a proud and protective ownership like Baker did when he first arrived. Anyway, and like others have stated, I also believe w...

I felt the same way and withdraw my opposition wherever posted. Good luck, Casey!

Re: Venables Announces Defensive Staff Change

I wonder if this signals that Brent's defense is too complex given that you can lose guys to the portal before they even learn the system? I have been worried about learning curve time, especially with the gaps in our zone D against Zona. That seemed to be a flaw in the scheme that we were not able ...

Re: OU Commit Gatorade Player of the Year

Andy Bass is a rock. I know the highlights are just highlights, the stats are unbelievable, but the competition is 3A. I think he will be our next great walkon story and will excel at OU as soon as he recovers from the injury. Congrats to Andy! We are very lucky to have him, especially as a PWO.

Re: Portal Gains (inbound)

I doubt he got a good draft grade and NIL money makes it pretty easy to try to improve under an OL coach and S&C coach who have produced many NFL stars.

Re: Transfer Portal News (Opens 4 Dec)

...as much as Like Gabriel, and as much as I've defended him, I wish he'd imitate Little Joe and be "smoke through a keyhole gone!" Lotta time between now and the 28th. If he's going to play another year in college(some have made the argument he might make more money in NIL than the NFL) ...

Mike Gundy and OU/OSU

It is amazing that Gundy is the Big 12 Coach of the year. He has been at OSU forever and and the only real rationale for COY is that nobody thought OSU would do anything this year, even though Gundy was totally responsible for where they were. Then, he pulled off a miracle win v OU with multiple pla...

Re: Was Seth the best hire for OC?

The answer lies with the players and commits. So far the big ones love it which means it was the right hire. Now, he will have to prove himself but I love the hire. He scored 37 vs Clemson while at NC and would have won the conf if theor D didn’t give up 45. He has so much background with great OCs...

Re: Was Seth the best hire for OC?

Time will tell and I amexcitedcto see what happens but you cannopt compare stats of a coach from North Texas ,I dont care who it is and compare to an OC from a SEC,Big10 or any other conference that has a pulse.Let the chips fall where they may and Im lookin forward to the JA era next year. Re: Was Seth the best hire for OC?

I'm guessing JJF's promotion was more to give him a raise and keep him on staff. Littrell is by no means a big name, sexy hire. If he does his job well he will be a big name hire (as Head Coach) in two years. So I don't know what "sexy hire" means. Who fits that category? Should BV have h...

Re: Seth Littrell OC?

Who was in charge of STs? There is not a coach listed with Special Teams responsibilities on the football staff page at soonersports.com. The closest you can find is Jay Nunez, who is support staff, and is listed as "Senior Speical Teams Analyst." We are horrible at special teams , have b...

Re: Lebby to Miss ST Heating Up

Sorry guys, but I think your whole point is flawed in this discussion- we scored fewer points against good teams than we did against average or poor teams. No surprise there. I think at happens almost all the time. I think our average stats against our average or slightly above average schedule are ...

Kicker

We need to put someone else out there. Schmit is just not performing. Surely we have someone else. With Schmit, I sure he is a great Sooner at heart and is very talented, so no disrespect intended at all. Thx for being here. It just seems like a golfer that has hit drives consistently fairly straigh...

Re: Was not pretty but a win.

Did the altitude have anything to do with our play today? I am likely looking for excuses but maybe that had some impact. Yes and no. It did but in first half it shouldn’t have. The field, now that was an issie in first half. Our D could not get grip on line push nor other players could be aggressi...
